Annual conference partnering with gamescom asia to support studios with publishing, business strategy and investments globally

SANTA CLARA - July 14, 2021 - Video game accelerator program Global Top Round (GTR), has today announced its GTR 2021 Conference will be held in Singapore from October 15-17 in partnership with gamescom asia. The conference brings together the world’s brightest studios, publishers, investors, and notable figures from the gaming industry to network at one event. At the end of this invite-only conference, GTR will select 10 of the most promising studios to be inducted into its accelerator program.

In addition to networking, the 10 studios of the conference will be eligible to receive funding starting at $40,000 as initial investment and participate in GTR’s accelerator program dedicated to support game and business model development, introductions to global publishers, and much more. Chosen studios may also receive further investments of up to $360,000 through GTR and its angel network.

“GTR’s purpose is to partner with and grow the best studios in the world. We feel we continually reach new heights because of the success of the program and conference,” said Pontus Mahler, Director of Business Development at Global Top Round. “By partnering with gamescom asia, we’re taking our network to the next level and tapping into their resources to further help the studios we work with.”

"We are excited to partner with top-tier game accelerator Global Top Round and the GTR Conference this year at gamescom asia to offer greater business values to the games community", says Prakash Ramajillu, Division Director Technology, DigitalMedia, Entertainment & Mobility at Koelnmesse Pte Ltd, the organizer of gamescom asia.

In 2020 GTR studios were able to raise more than $10,000,000+ in external investments from the GTR network and signed five major publishing deals. GTR expects to raise an additional amount of $5,000,000 before the end of the year with at least two more notable publishing deals. GTR has already invested in more than 50 game companies in the United States, Brazil, France, Germany, Korea, Sweden, Spain, Italy, and Malaysia.

“GTR is the perfect intermediary to help bring funding and financial support to studios and projects as well as put them in front of the most relevant publishing partners,” said Yves Le Yaouanq, Chief Content Officer at Focus Home Interactive, a partner of GTR.
